Capturing life's best moments….

I am in the process of new branding and a new website. Details coming soon!
It’s been a while since I posted the sneak peak of Maty & Anthony’s wedding but here it finally is. I had the pleasure of accompanying Hei Hei Creative Studios for Maty and Anthony’s wedding. The ceremony took place in West Covina and the reception was at the beautiful Lindley-Scott House in Azusa. There was definitely love in the air. Here are photos from that special day.
It’s hard to believe it’s 2012. How the year flew by. It was an extremely difficult year for me and my family. We lost the most important person to us last year, my precious momma. Though God chose to take her way before we were ready, I like to think she’s in Heaven dancing, smiling and eating whatever she wants with no concern for calories or ill effects of eating too much. A big part of who I am is because of her. She was a loving momma and only wanted the best for all of her children and grandchildren.
I started this blog for her, in her memory. I know she’d be proud of my accomplishments however big or small. So I want to start this new year remembering her: her love, her strength and her will. I will take those memories and use them for good, to keep me going when I may want to give up, to smile when life gets overwhelming. She will be in my thoughts, my heart and my soul every step of the way.
Here’s to a new year. Life as we knew it may be gone but the memories last forever. And that makes me smile.
My husband and I recently celebrated our first year anniversary. If you know one thing about us it’s that we both love wine. So we decided for our anniversary we would take a drive up north to the wineries. Our first stop was in Solvang. We stayed at the Hadsten House Inn which is a small, quaint little hotel. They even had a small grape vineyard.
We spent a day driving up and down the Foxen Canyon Wine trail and our first winery stop was Rancho Sisquoc winery.
The following day we drove up to Paso Robles and hit some wineries along the way. We stopped in Templeton where we went to Turley. We knew we had to stop here as it was the wine we had on our wedding.
It was so nice and relaxing driving around the wineries in Paso Robles. Since it was during the week it was pretty quiet and the rolling hills and beautiful views were breathtaking.
We even found a winery where they had 20 tastings for $5.00! The wine wasn’t very good though….maybe that’s why it was so cheap. But they were nice!
In between wineries we made a side trip down to Heart Castle. In 1865, George Hearst, a wealthy miner, purchased 40,00 acres of ranchland. His only son, William Randolph Hearst, inherited this land and eventually it was transformed into an 165 room palace. It is gorgeous and if you’re ever in this part of California be sure to visit.
I was fortunate to again help out Hei Hei Creative Studios at a recent wedding in the Covina area. It’s always exciting to be in the midst of excitement and anticipation of the big day. I love being around love. Just call me a hopeless romantic. Here is a sneak peak of what took place that day. More to come.
My sweet nephew celebrated his 6th birthday. It was definitely a time for celebration because just one year previous, on his 5th birthday, he had open heart surgery. My nephew was born with a congenital heart defect which, by the grace of God, was diagnosed a few months earlier. It was a difficult time of waiting and worrying but thankfully the surgery was a success and our sweet angel is a healthy and energetic boy. My sister planned a carnival-themed party with games, prizes, a face painting clown and caricature artist. She even had a candy bar! Everyone had a great time. Here are photos from our celebration.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of helping out Hei Hei Creative Studios. I met Sai and Jeannie last year when, at the last minute, my then fiance and I decided to hire a videographer for our own wedding. I am so happy that we decided to go with them because they made us feel so comfortable. We recently watched our wedding video on our anniversary and are so glad we have those memories to treasure for years to come. If you ever need a videographer be sure to check them out.
We met the bride at her hotel and then later met up with the groom and wedding party at the L.A. Arboretum. It was a hot and sunny day. Here are some shots from that day.
One year ago today I married the love of my life. My best friend. He makes all things better. He helps me not take life so seriously….to enjoy each moment…..to not sweat the small things in life that don’t matter. He makes me laugh when I’m being way too serious. He wipes away my tears when I cry. He is there for me always. The one I count on when the rest of the world seems dark and scary. He loves me unconditionally with all my faults and insecurities. He allows me to be the very best me I can be. He is my rock, my heart, my love. One year ago today my life changed…..for the better. This is Love. I’ve never been so happy. Thank you my love for giving me your heart. You will always have mine.
Happy Anniversary My Love.
